PROBLEM
Every vehicle's plate and container number was typed in by hand at the gate; a single typo meant hunting for the container in the wrong block. At the other end, a truck lining up under an RTG crane needed its driver to climb out of the cab to talk to a signaller.
APPROACH
Two separate products were built. At the gate, the plate and the container code are read and matched in a single pass. On the RTG side, Kognion Eye tracks the truck's position and guides the driver by voice.
RESULTS
The RTG unloading cycle runs close to twice as fast.
Drivers no longer leave the cab to be guided into position.
Two products went live on site: gate automation and RTG guidance.
